Cathleen Miller's latest book, Champion of choice, the biography of UN leader Nafis Sadik was rated in the Top Ten biographies of 2013. Through her travels, she discovered a trend throughout the world with women leaders. Miller explores the upbringings that breed leadership characteristics in women. She explains that the early stages of life, including birth, are the most critical times in developing a global leader. Her previous work includes the international bestseller Desert Flower, which was adapted as a feature film. Miller's travel essays have appeared in the Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, San Francisco Chronicle, and Los Angeles Times.
